Structure

Asset class funds deliver the investment results of an entire asset class - a group of shares with similar risk and expected return characteristics. Asset class funds are used by Magus as basic building blocks in creating efficient portfolios and in achieving dissimilar price movement diversification.

They are usually only available to institutional investors such as corporate pension funds, banks and insurance companies. Magus is one of only a handful of fee only registered investment advisers in the UK able to trade in these funds

Because no two investors are alike, there is no single favourite asset allocation. Each investor has his or her own risk tolerances, goals, and life circumstances that influence the weightings of asset class portfolios. Magus determines the most appropriate mix for you. In general, the greater the proportion of stocks a portfolio holds, especially small company and value stocks, the more "aggressive" its risk and the greater its expected return.
